Cheryl and I recently started a marriage class here at Hope Baptist in Las Vegas. After seeing some good friends wreck their marriages we really got angry about what we allow the Enemy to get away with in Christian homes. God took that anger and made it a burden for Christian marriages, then from that burden birthed a ministry.
The class is called "Staying Married on Purpose." It's all about how great marriages are built intentionally, not incidentally. God gave us 5 big areas where we saw Christian couples lose it and fall apart. From those five things we developed a curriculum and taught a couple of small group pilot classes this past spring.
We launched our first full scale class at the church a few weeks ago and -- WOW! We have over 35 couples sign up. The class is huge and we were a little nervous. But God is plenty big enough and He showed up s it's been awesome!
Please pray for us as we seek to encourage marriages here in the divorce capital of the world. The Enemy has already come against us and will most certainly attack us in this area. We hope to start a blog soon and expand our efforts to encourage Christian couples beyond just our church. Stay tuned for more details!

Meet the Davisons!
My good friend David Quiroz took this picture of us recently. We have long talked about doing a family portrait mimicing the classic Meet the Beatles album cover. He was kind enough to set up the shoot and make the photo. He is going to print out a large copy of it so we can have it framed and hang it in the house. Hey, why don't you guys come out to Vegas and see it in person! Yeah, that's a great idea! :-)
